This work explores the idea of mapping out the past in a seemingly un-biased way. Though the images play off of simply pulling up a map on your phone they are a collections of places that at some point in my life I was very familiar with. I draw them from memory which allows the imagery to have things omitted from the landscapes either on purpose or by forgetting them. It makes them a dreamier often more Idealistic view of the place. The work also plays off larger themes around natural resources and human behaviors influences on them as well as wealth distribution.
